Appearance: There is a rough edge to Xanxus in just about any aspect you can pin to him. He's a full-grown man, a full Italian blood who stands at about 6'3". He holds high rounded cheekbones, a strong jaw and a pointed chin. His eyes are a natural deep red and retains a solid olive complexion. His body is patched from head to toe in scars from freeze burn being trapped in ice for several years, the most notable of these scars wrap around the left side of his face. Over a decade living with these scars, they seem to have faded and healed a little bit better but nothing short to rob him of his signature. When he angers, he reaches a point where his scars will fill and darken again, including one that nearly covers his whole face.

Xanxus' hair is thick and jet black and casually trimmed so that it parts correctly and doesn't fall over his eyes but a chunk of hair that blocks over the bridge of his nose. A few ornate feathers and beads are still woven into the hair around the base of his neck in warm colors such as burnt orange and crimson. Other small accessories include his family ring of the Vongola and the Sky ring for combat.

His wardrobe itself lacks any flare or variation. As a member of Italian mafia, it's strictly expensive suits, white button-up collared shirts and ties. He wears the pride of his team, Varia, by donning its uniform pants (Black with white a white strip through inner and outer thigh) and displaying its uniform jacket across his shoulders (Same as the pants though has a white furred hood and a double breasted button, the Varia crest displayed on the upper-left arm)

Personality: A man of his stature, Xanxus is a difficult person in all, he is a both feared and respected person. Most notable for his anger, Xanxus has one of the worst tempers anyone could imagine. He gets loud and increasingly violent until his steam dies down, until then he's completely unreasonable when he is angry. It's no difficult task, often he wont even find a reason to be angry, he just would be. There is always something wrong, he's a man who can't be bothered to be satisfied. As it was how he was raised, there is always something better and bigger out there, and it has to be his.

There is always something about Xanxus that wont allow him to let go of things, leaving him turned out an overgrown and bitter man. He's incredibly grudging, not letting the single smallest wronging go unnoticed. If he is betrayed or wronged in any way he sees fit, there is no forgiveness. It is a virtue he'll never understand making the list of enemies grow larger and larger by the day. The closer the person, the more bitter he'll become, he's brought to a dark place time after time. While it may not consume him as it did in his youth, Xanxus is no less hollowed out by bitter anger over simple rivalries but has become quietly disgusted.

When it comes to fighting, Xanxus is more strategic than reckless. Often he will not lift a finger unless he is forced to do so. Only when anger provokes him, is when he'll charge headfirst into something. This waiting game makes him rely far more on his guardians than he'd like to think. Thankfully, as reliable as his people are to him he has not to worry. He prefers the back seat, watching and relaxed while his business is done for him. This behavior keeps him incredibly lazy, having the luxury of a rich life has robbed him of his own self-sufficiency. So when presented to survive on his own, he'd more likely beat the next weakest person into surviving for him.

He continues to keep a sort of arrogance. Attitude, even when shot down, holds a higher respect for himself than anyone else. He has no obnoxious ego, perhaps when he was younger but now it is just him and his reputation, he knows he deserves the top and no matter what anyone else says this is how he thinks. There is a strong confidence in his eyes and his stature, determined to get what he wants exactly how he wants it. He abuses the power he has to make even the littlest insignificant things to work. Then when they don't, he will make them work or throw one hell of a fight trying. It is this confidence that makes him respectable, the die-hard attitude and smoothed ego keeps him superior and makes up for the negative traits that drive people away from him.

Xanxus isn't a nice person at all and he is well aware of it. Friendship is irrelevant despite any ties he might have to his guardians or family that might be considered so. He is never friendly or outwardly generous, if so its grudgingly or has an ulterior motive. Everything he does is to benefit himself and whomever he has to use is expendable to him. Expendable might be a loose term depending on the person, despite being a heartless bastard, Xanxus might be human. It's a foreign concept that might flicker in his eyes once or twice. No one would believe it and certainly he would deny it. As far as he is concerned, he is alone and he will be alone.

Fears: Xanxus isn't much of a fearful man, he'd rather laugh in the face of anything then actually cower. For him, it is the loss of control or having a lack of power. With a person like Xanxus, power is all he has, it keeps him above everyone and that is where he is comfortable. With his power stripped from him he essentially has nothing and that is the worst thing in the world to him. If he can't have control over anyone or if he cant evoke fear over anyone, if he is anywhere beside the top of the pyramid then he is nothing. And being nothing is the worst thing in the world to him.

Weaknesses: Xanxus is a person with little vulnerability to show for. He hasn't much weakness except for his past history, blackmail makes for a powerful but cheap weapon. Xanxus being of inferior birth, tricked into false security and humiliated before several people. Once he's been insulted and humiliated in the correct way, is an easy way to take him down. Physically, Xanxus holds little weaknesses aside from the zero point breakthrough . The dying will zero point breakthrough when used correctly can seal off the dying will flame in a special ice. If this technique is used against him while he is using the dying will flame, he will be rendered useless.

Strengths/Abilities: Being the leader of an assassination squad, Xanxus has enough skill to keep up a good fight. He has an incredible amount of energy that can keep him going long after his opponents exhaustion. He is trained with the skills of the common assassin and is swift and agile for combat. He knows proper strategy in taking down his opponents and when to take them down. Not to say his technique is at all perfect but in the least he has had his training.

Xanxus was born with the ability to produce a certain type of dying will flame, an energy that engulfs the hand upon will. His type is the flame of wrath, which is just as destructive and dangerous as a normal flame. Combined with his heated anger, this flame can fuel his energy as well, enough anger built up and he can pop into a blind rage which brightens up his scars and serves as a type of berserk booster. He can also compress his flame into bullets of a gun, a technique used by a previous Vongola boss.

History: (This is the basic overview of what his canon has revealed, there are minor details and filled in spots that I have made to the best of my judgment to his character)

Originally, Xanxus was born of a lower-class single mother. A woman deranged with fantasies with the mafia, true or not she had some fascination with them and the Vongola family especially. Xanxus was a bitter and anti-social child, he mostly didn't get along with other children and his mother didn't help it. Once Xanxus was able to show off his flame of wrath, his mother was convinced she had mothered the child of the ninth boss of the Vongola. Making him the tenth boss, she name him Xanxus, the two Xs resembling the Roman numeral for ten. The mother passed the child onto the ninth who was too convinced it was his child.

The rush between poor and rich hit the child like a brick. Quickly as he grew, he became spoiled and even more bitter than before. Generally, Xanxus was a rotten child and often saw it right to throw fits and beat up anyone who got in his way. The ninth, being a kind man let him get away with it. As he got older, the more violent and stronger he became. Yet there was a curiosity that still boiled within him, the truth still seemed to elude him even when he was promised to be the next boss, he had been promised power. It was in middle school when he found out he truly had no blood relation to the Vongola, meaning he could never rightfully place himself as the tenth boss. Being held from the truth, Xanxus could only grow hate and resentment against his adoptive father. Angered, this spurred what would lead to the plotting of the ninth's downfall and his rightful place as the Vongola boss.

Meanwhile in his social life, Xanxus had come across mostly of his current assassination squad. The Varia at the time were the strongest, taken down by a boy two years younger than him. Evidently he received the title and lead of the Varia squad as well as Squalo's loyalty. It was a step up but he wanted his seat as the Vongola's tenth boss. Once the Varia had grown stronger, Xanxus unleashed an attack on his own adoptive father. It was an event that had been kept under the radar for several years, Xanxus was eventually defeated by his own father who used the zero point breakthrough to encase him in ice.

Eight years later, Xanxus is freed from the ice. Secretly he kidnaps the ninth, his father, and stuffs him into Gola Mosca. With the ninth missing, it triggers the events of the ring battles, the fight for the rightful chair as the next boss. Xanxus uses the gola mosca and the Varia in the ring battles. Xanxus is humiliated and defeated after a long battle with Sawada Tsunayoshi. He cheats heavily to win but in the end the Vongola ring rejects his blood, proving to everyone he is not the true heir to the ninth boss.

Despite his defeat, he still carries on with the Varia but incredibly bitter of his defeat, he refuses to acknowledge Tsuna as the tenth boss and heavily remains loyal to the ninth. The Varia could only grow stronger over the years, and with almost a decade of maturity to catch up with, Xanxus experienced a bit of growth within himself. He remained bitter and cold, still stricken with honor as Tsuna died to opposing forces, Xanxus refused to lead the Vongola and take the seat he'd been fighting for nearly his whole life. He claimed he would only take Vongola when it was at it's strongest, still signifying his incredible dislike for Tsuna and his failure to keep the family strong.
